Oliver McCrum Wines has been importing small production Italian wine and distributing to fine retail and restaurant establishes throughout California since 1994. Over time, our portfolio of producers has steadily grown to over 45 producers from 15 different regions of Italy. We look for typical Italian wines with clarity and freshness, usually made from indigenous Italian grape varieties using clean, transparent winemaking techniques and no obvious use of oak.

David Curiel, New York Sales Manager

A long time San Francisco bartender and later a craft spirit merchant, David joined the company in 2019 and set out to establish our spirits portfolio on the East Coast and help our company of fine wine geeks transform into spirits geeks, too. David enjoys eating cheeseburgers and wearing vintage plaid suits.

Lauren Balone, NYC Metro Sales

Lauren grew up in Eastern Washington where wine was always on the table. After moving to Los Angeles, she officially became enveloped in the profession. What started out as just a survival job at a wine bar and 'Covid classes,' grew into a career in restaurants as a sommelier in LA and NYC. In her free time, I am creating art, rooting for the Dodgers across the coast, watching horror movies and checking out the newest restaurants and bars in the city! Her go to on a night out is Brunello di Montalcino but not before a cocktail (ANYTHING with egg whites)!

Nicholas Speranza, NYC Metro Sales

Nick started working in wine in 2013, and quickly fell for the unique and delicious world of Italian wine and spirits. Since then, he has worked at various retailers in NYC, maintaining a focus on shops that featured artisanal, transparent, and traditional wine makers. As part of the New York Sales team, he's excited to connect NYC restaurants and shops to the Oliver McCrum portfolio. When he's not stirring a pot of braised meat, you can find him bowling strikes and sipping Barbera (or Budweiser.)

Yona Benjamin, Hudson Valley & Westchester Sales

Yona entered the wine industry through agriculture, having worked as a farm hand and cheesemaker before falling in love with wine. Since then he has worked as a sommelier, in wine retail, and in vineyards and wineries across the USA.  A New York native, you will probably find him in a creek or pond, hiking, or foraging local ingredients with his friends. His favorite Italian wine grape is Greco and he has a real soft spot for Carciofo style Amari.
