Oliver McCrum Wines has been importing small production Italian wine and distributing to fine retail and restaurant establishes throughout California since 1994. Over time, our portfolio of producers has steadily grown to over 45 producers from 15 different regions of Italy. We look for typical Italian wines with clarity and freshness, usually made from indigenous Italian grape varieties using clean, transparent winemaking techniques and no obvious use of oak.

We’re excited to announce that Marolo Grappa has entered the building! One of the best distillers on the planet is now part of the Oliver McCrum portfolio and we’ve never been more fired up about grappa as a result.

Since 1977, Marolo’s distillates have elevated our expectations of what we thought grappa could be. From their single varietal expressions to their single vineyard distillates, Marolo has innovated and pushed boundaries for nearly 50 years, creating some of the most haunting unaged spirits we’ve ever tasted. Their aged grappas are also unparalleled— rich and textural on the palate with incredible complexity and depth.

The father and son team of Paolo and Lorenzo Marolo is contagious to be around. Lorenzo’s passion and energy was clearly passed on from his father and it’s inspiring to see the younger generations taking an interest in such a historical part of Italy’s distilled traditions. The future is definitely bright and we’re excited to be a part of it.
