Oliver McCrum Wines has been importing small production Italian wine and distributing to fine retail and restaurant establishes throughout California since 1994. Over time, our portfolio of producers has steadily grown to over 45 producers from 15 different regions of Italy. We look for typical Italian wines with clarity and freshness, usually made from indigenous Italian grape varieties using clean, transparent winemaking techniques and no obvious use of oak.

David Curiel, New York Sales Manager

David Curiel joined the company in 2019, bringing with him a background in hospitality, spirits, and beverage education. From 2019 until 2025, David was instrumental in growing the company’s spirits business nationally and in early 2025 he played a key role in launching Oliver McCrum’s self-distribution division in NY. A true jack of all trades, David founded Magic Animals in his spare time, a line of spirits inspired by his years behind the bar and his belief that great beverages should be made by real people using real ingredients. His favorite grape varieties are Carricante, Caprettone, and Mantonico.

Yona Benjamin, Hudson Valley & Westchester Sales

Yona entered the wine industry through agriculture, having worked as a farm hand and cheesemaker before falling in love with wine. Since then he has worked as a sommelier, in wine retail, and in vineyards and wineries across the USA.  A New York native, you will probably find him in a creek or pond, hiking, or foraging local ingredients with his friends. His favorite Italian wine grape is Greco and he has a real soft spot for Carciofo style Amari.
